Castles of Ireland:
The Castles weren't just for royalty, they were also used for protection against raids and invaders. The vikings extended walls around villages and places some towers in the walls for defence. The towers had small windows and rooms so that people could only see out and the rooms were small to keep them more warm. They are not as large as you would expect them to be. Some castles have a great hall and most of them have a chapel.

A mouse ran up the clock
The clock struck one
